Problem Solving Through Design Thinking
Main Idea:
The main idea is to address mental health issues prevalent among college students, but usually unaddressed.
Problem Statement:
There are many people in the world who face mental health problems such as stressful situations, depression, anxiety, etc. And they are hesitant to bring up that problem in front of other people due to the fear of judgment, therefore this affects their mental health and lead to bad decisions.

Insights From This Experience:
I came to understand that mental health problem is a major issue in Pakistan, many young students suffer from this problem and many people don’t have the courage to share their problems with others because of the judgment factor. As I have talked with some students on Call (my friends having depression and stress problems) and gave them hope, they told me that talking out their problems really helped unburden the weight they were bottling up for so long. from this experience I realized that many people normally don’t share their problems with others and keep on bottling it up until the point it starts to effect their health all they need is someone to listen, someone who have similar situation and someone who can give them hope.
Solution To The Problem
To tackle this problem we will build an app which is going to connect you to your peers facing the similar issues. You would have an option to post problem anonymously on the platform, anyone who shares a similar problem could respond to your post, you would have an option to accept their request.
So after acceptance, You can open a private chat session with the person or if there are a lot of people with the similar problem they can open a group chat and brainstorm solutions to that problem.
Benefit I Gained Through This Experience:
Through this experience I was able to connect with some new people, some old friends and able to help and understand their problems, another benefit that this problem gave me a chance to utilize my computer science skills in solving this problem by making an application.
Further in future we can also use this application from an entrepreneur perspective which would be beneficial for both us and the people we want to help.
